Best Camera Drone Under $100
Holy Stone X400C FPV Drone
with Wi-Fi Camera, Live Video & One Key Return
[star rating =”4.5″]
This usually goes for slightly over 100 dollars, but it is somehow less than $100 as at the time of writing. I’m not sure if this is some temporary sale but if it really is less than a hundred bucks, it has got to make this list. This drone was one of the first drones I purchased, and I still fly it with the same level of excitement I had when I first got it.
What you get with this one is a very decent camera (not exactly HD as they claim) and very stable flights. The biggest strength of this drone is its durability. It can take a hammering.

Some Other Great FPV Drones Under $100
MJX X101 FPV Drone
with HD Camera, Compatible with 3D VR Headset
[star rating =”4.5″]
This drone has a decent high resolution camera which gives you access to see what the drone sees. It also affords you real-time video transmission via your smartphone directly. It has headless mode which puts to bed any confusion as to which direction the drone should go, and the one-key return function vertically returns it back to its take-off point in Headless mode.
More features include: integration with 3D VR Headset, different throttle switch modes (difficulty levels), 2.4GHz spread spectrum technology for more remote control distance, powerful anti-jamming potential, and the ability to control more than one drone simultaneously without interference with each other.
The 6 Axis system keeps the drone stable, and the 360˚ eversion makes flips and tricks easier to do. It comes with LED lights, and you get a long flight time of around 15 minutes.

GoolRC T5W Wi-Fi FPV Drone
with Camera Live Video and Headless Mode
[star rating =”4.5″]
If you are willing to trade some flying time for a little bit of extra colour, then you will want to consider this one. It comes with bright LED lights which not only makes the drone eye-catching, but also very convenient to fly at night. Your mind will be at peace knowing that you could fly this at night and not risk losing it, as the light will always keep your eyes fixed on it. Other than that, the 6-axis Gyro system maintains stability and it is very easy to perform 360˚ flips with one key.
You get real-time stream of what they camera is facing on your phone. Add to that the headless and one key return feature. If you manage to lose your drone despite its brightness, you will be able to call it back to you with the push of a button. Again, you only get 4-5 minutes of flight time.

Syma X5SW-1 FPV Drone
with HD Camera & Real-Time Transmission
[star rating =”4″]
Also one of the first drones I purchased, I would say this provides a good value of money. I got this for my then 13-year old nephew who was obsessed with owning a quadcopter drone for some reason. This drone has real-time transmission via Wi-Fi. You get to view this on your iPhone or Android phone via an app. Honestly, the Wi-Fi signal can be pretty unstable sometimes and it’s very annoying. But I cannot say I am disappointed given its price.
It features headless mode and convenient control for the pilot. The 6 Axis Gyro System does its things and provides more stability, and you are able to do some sleek 360˚ flips with this thing.
You also have a choice of colours which is rare: You get to choose between blue, red or white. White is slightly more expensive though.

With this drone you can set an altitude limit so your prized possession does not fly away. There is also a throttle limiter for safety purposes, especially with beginners. Of course, it also has the headless mode and one-key return function as well. You get real-time video transmission to your smartphone, and is compatible with 3D VR Headset which will give you a real flying feeling. It has the 6 Axis Gyro system for stability, and affords you about 8 minutes of flying time. The remote distance is between 60m and 100m.
Interesting article, I always thought drones were so expensive, but I’m pleasantly surprised to see it’s not really so.
I’m thinking about buying a drone as a gift for a friend, and these ones have great prices. The one that got my attention was the Holy Stone Drone, but I’m not very sure about something: by “WiFi camera” does it mean that it can only film or record when it’s connected to a WiFi? Sorry if it’s a silly question, but I’m not very good at technology, that’s why I’m asking 🙂
Hi Ashley,
Haha..the only silly question is the one you don’t ask. I always encourage people to ask questions about stuff they don’t know, even if they seem like the most obvious. In this case, your question is a very good question – far from obvious. The drones creates its own Wi-Fi signal that you connect to your smartphone. Via an app, you will be getting real-time transmission of whatever the drone camera is facing.
Hope this helps
This is a “keeper” Thank you Amedu.
I always thought about owning a drone but like you said, I’m not ready to spend a lot of money right now. I didn’t even know there were drones for under $100. I’m happy to read this and will look you up Later. Good site too!
Keep up the good work!
You are very welcome! I would not advise you start above $100 either. If you are new and want to “test the waters’ with drones, I think it’s advisable to start cheap. Thanks for stopping by.
Cheers
